For decades, Dimplex has been the name behind some of the most advanced electric fireplace technologies in the world. Now, with the Ignite Ultra Series, that innovation reaches new heights. This is not the typical electric fire that flickers quietly in the corner. The Ignite Ultra is a fully immersive experience designed for those who want the look, sound and warmth of a real fire, without the hassle of wood, smoke or chimney maintenance.
At FlameStyle By The Soot Doctor, serving homeowners across Dublin and Wicklow, we have seen first-hand how Irish families are transforming their living spaces with these new linear fires. They combine realism, safety and energy efficiency in one beautifully engineered unit.

Homes in Ireland are evolving. Whether you live in a modern apartment in Dublin or a countryside home in Wicklow, the Ignite Ultra range fits effortlessly into any space. Each model features a wide, linear design ideal for media walls, open-plan living rooms and feature fireplaces. The glass-fronted frame offers a panoramic flame view that adds a sense of luxury and depth to the room.
Because no chimney or flue is required, the Ignite Ultra can be installed in virtually any setting. Many of our clients choose to integrate it within bespoke cabinetry, stone surrounds or contemporary wall units, creating a sleek focal point that works beautifully in both traditional and modern interiors.
The secret behind the Ignite Ultra’s stunning visual realism lies in Flex-Flame Technology. This unique feature allows you to switch easily between Dynamic-Fire and Multi-Fire settings, offering complete control over the colour, speed and intensity of your flame. Whether you prefer a soft golden glow for quiet evenings or a lively, flickering ambience for gatherings, the Ignite Ultra adapts instantly to your mood.
To add another layer of authenticity, the Rhythmic Logs emit a subtle inner glow that pulses naturally with the flame, while the optional crackling wood sound effects complete the sensory experience. It is an electric fire that engages sight, sound and atmosphere, all without the smoke or mess.
➡️ Our OFTEC-certified team ensures safe and compliant installation every time.
Beyond its stunning flame realism, the Dimplex Ignite Ultra Series performs beautifully as a practical and efficient heating solution for Irish homes. Each model is equipped with a powerful 2 kW ComfortSaver fan heater that delivers consistent warmth while keeping energy consumption low. The heater can be used independently of the flame effect, allowing you to enjoy the glow all year round, even on mild evenings in Dublin or Wicklow.
Every unit comes with a built-in thermostat, timer settings, and full compatibility with the Flame Connect App, so you can manage your fire’s heat, flame, and lighting directly from your smartphone. The wall-mounted magnetic remote control adds everyday convenience, letting you fine-tune temperature, flame mode, and lighting intensity with ease.
The Ignite Ultra 50″ (1250 mm) is ideal for compact living areas or media walls, combining elegance with efficiency. The Ignite Ultra 60″ (1500 mm) offers a balanced focal point for medium to large rooms, perfect for modern Irish homes seeking both comfort and style. And for those who want to make a true design statement, the Ignite Ultra 74″ (1800 mm) delivers a bold panoramic flame view that transforms open-plan spaces into warm, inviting retreats.
Each model in the Ultra range features the same high-quality engineering, flexible installation options, and advanced flame technology that have made Dimplex the global leader in electric fire innovation.
The Ignite Ultra range is designed for versatility. You can install it as a front-view, bay (two-sided) or corner (three-sided) fireplace depending on your interior layout. Because the unit operates entirely on electricity, it requires no flue, no gas line and no ventilation modifications. That makes it ideal for retrofitting into apartments, new builds and renovations where traditional fireplaces are impractical. At FlameStyle By The Soot Doctor, our installation team will survey your space, recommend the right model size, and ensure the unit is safely integrated into your existing wall or cabinetry. We take care of the full setup, so you can simply plug in, sit back and enjoy the glow.
